Every year, from Flanders to Wallonia, a fair travels through Belgium during an annual tour that has been going on for centuries. This ‘nomadic neighbourhood’ of traders occupies public space temporarily during the celebrations. This film questions whether the unconscious tradition that runs through them is a mirror of their culture, of their community. Quartier nomade is an immersive film that portrays a community threatened and endangered by city regulations and the disesteem of popular culture.
